Getting Outdoor Seeds Is Crucial

The reason why you need to get outdoor seeds is that the strains that are specialized for indoor growing will sometimes not finish making the buds before the frost comes and kills the plants. I have made the mistake a couple of times hoping for a mild fall, but every time harvest has failed almost completely. What happens is that in late fall when the plant should be creating flowers full of THC... it does not. Instead it is still growing leaves thinking that we have plenty of time untill the fall, but suddenly winter comes and you have to harvest without buds. The plant still is worth using, but it is just a shade of the big majestic buds it could have grown if the strain had been of the right kind.

Outdoor seeds such as "Durban" "Early Girl" (and probably most strains named "Early Something") will start budding early and will be ready to harvest in October-November - some strains a little earlier and some a little later. "Durban" is a pure Sativa plant that is easy to grow and will guarantee you some great bud from the outdoor crop.

Another thing with many of the outdoor strains is that they are more resistant to weather, Fungus and pests - well in most cases anyway.

If you have some seeds go ahead and plant them - it's definitely cheap, but i would never do that again - there are just too many things that can be wrong with them:

1: If they are too old only few will sprout
2: Maybe they have a hermaphrodite gene that create male flowers on female plants thus giving you seeds in the weed.
3: It could be a strain very sensitive to pests, fungus etc.
4: It could be sensitive to weather conditions
5: It could very possibly be a late flowering strain.

I see it this way - i'm going to spend a lot of time growing this medicine. Same amount of work is spent weather i'm growing superior weed or just some weak grass.
