It's actually not too hard to grow weed indoor. It CAN be a science but it's definitely not necessary to grow some strong potent weed. In fact i bet that no matter how bad a grower you are, you will be able to grow weed that far exceeds the potency of any hash sold in Northern Europe for instance.

The Vegetative And The Flowering Stage

When growing indoor it is important to know this, because this is how you control if you want your plants to grow bigger or if you want them to start creating bud.
Plants will keep growing when under constant lights and will start making bud, when they get full nights of 12 hours COMPLETE darkness. Because of this most growers have a small vegging room with 24 hours lighting and another room with 12 hours lighting for blooming.

The Vegetative Stage (18-24 hours of lights)

During vegging stage you will have your plants under constant fluorscent lights (18-24 hours/day). As long as the plants are under constant lighting it will live forever and you can even take clones from it and make new plants (this is what most people do).

The Flowering Stage (12 hours of lights)

When you put a plant from the vegging room an under the 12 hours of night time in the flowering room, the plant will start making bud. If you have not yet seen the gender, you will start seeing flowers within a couple of weeks (1-4 weeks). Take out the males if you are not going to experiment with making seeds or breeding. Just throw them away since they will contain only little THC. The females will continue making buds. Recognize the female flowers from the white hairs.

The Best Lights For Weed

1: To keep weed growing and make bigger before blooming you keep the lights on for 22-24 hours.
2: When you want budding to begin you switch over to 12 hours of lights.
3: Under blooming/budding dark periods must be completely dark without flashes or torches on them.
4: Your plants want air, so put a fan on them - not hard wind but just a sweet breeze.

Lights For Vegetative Stage (grow stage)

When vegetating your plants under 24 hours (grow stage) your plants like blue lights. Here the best lights to use are regular fluorscent lights (the ones that hang from the ceiling in any school and factory) You can use these in any length but the longer the bulbs the more light per wattage. You can get them in most hardware stores and they are pretty cheap. The best thing to do would probably to take 4 fluorscent lights next to each other using 2 cold (blue) bulbs and 2 warm (red) bulbs.

The Water

- The water should preferably have room temperature - if it's cold put in an aquarium heater.
- It should preferably have a ph of 6. Buy a cheap chemical ph measure set.
- Instead of measuring the amount of plant food you would want a ppm-meter. It will be well worth the few buck it costs. If you don't have this you will be having to empty out the whole water tank every now and then because you will loose track of how concentrated the fertilizer is. Sometimes plants will drink more water than they take up nutrients making the nutrient concentration in the water tank higher.
